All cats big and small eat a certain amount of grass to clear their gut of inedible material like hair and bones from eating and cleaning through vomiting. This shows that nearly all cats eat grass and are typically A-OK when doing so.

If your cat eats grass obsessively it can lead to excessive vomiting and may indicate that your cat is dealing with significant anxiety.
